Who we are

Mervin Travel is a travel company in Istanbul: Gürsel, İmrahor Street No. 29, B Blok, Premier Campus Plaza, Suite 437, Istanbul, TÜRSAB licence no. 7790. We are responsible for the personal details described on this page.

What we collect, and why

When you ask us to design a journey (the form on this site), we receive what you type: your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, roughly when you want to travel, who is travelling, your interests if you give them, and your message. We use these to reply to you and to prepare the journey you asked about, and for nothing else. We do not sell or rent your details, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

When you write, call or message us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we keep what you send us for the same reason: to answer you and to arrange what you ask for.

When you only visit the site, we collect nothing about you unless you accept optional cookies in the cookie notice. Measurement tools (such as Google Analytics) run only after you accept them there, and only if we have switched them on. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie notice.

Who else sees it

The people at Mervin Travel who answer enquiries. When you ask us to book something, the hotel, boat, guide or other partner providing it receives only what they need to serve you. The companies that run our website and mail for us may process your details on our behalf: DigitalOcean (the server), Neon (the database, hosted in the European Union), Cloudflare (delivery and protection of the website), Google (our business email), Resend (which delivers the short internal notice that an enquiry has arrived; it carries the enquiry's number, not your details), and jsDelivr (which delivers the cookie notice's script). Some of these providers are outside Türkiye, in the European Union and the United States.

How long we keep it

For as long as we need it to reply to you and to arrange and support your journey, and afterwards only as long as Turkish law requires us to keep business records. If you would like your enquiry deleted sooner, ask us and we will.

Your rights

Under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and, where it applies, the EU's GDPR, you can ask us whether we hold details about you, ask for a copy, have them corrected or deleted, and object to how we use them. Write to us and we will answer.
